About

Updated 08 Sept 2026

I am Valentin Galfré, a software engineer born in 2002 in Santa Fe, Argentina, where I still live and work remotely. I build software end to end: system design, APIs, infrastructure and the final interaction. I like hard problems, fast systems and being measurably better than yesterday.

Since September 2025 I am Staff Engineer at Coderhouse , one of Latin America's largest edtech platforms, where I lead platform engineering and AI. The biggest piece of that work is a multi-agent system that generates thousands of educational resources a day and powers about 90% of the platform's content, serving 500,000+ students and 50,000+ concurrent users at peak.

Before that I was a Senior Software Engineer on the first-party retail team at Mercado Libre (2024 to 2025), the technical referent for a microfrontend platform that let eight teams deploy independently on Latin America's highest-traffic e-commerce site. I started at Crombie , a software consultancy, in March 2022 as the most junior engineer in the room and left in April 2024 as a Technical Leader running teams of up to eight engineers for clients such as PUMA and NFTYDoor .

I work in TypeScript end to end, with React, Next.js, Node.js, Postgres and AWS, and reach for Rust when it needs to be fast. After hours I build apollo , an open-source brain for physical agentic devices, pilcha , a search engine for clothing across 1,200+ Argentine online stores, and reel , a Rust tool that records a terminal and lets an agent edit it into a demo. I study Systems Engineering at Universidad Nacional del Litoral alongside full-time work.

Outside of code: a Telecaster, a piano I do not practice enough, photography, Counter-Strike 2, and a cat called Cheddar.
