What is next

Not a plan. The direction I would like to be walking: agents that touch the world, a product that stays honest, a degree I am going to finish.

I am twenty-four, I have been shipping software for five years, and this year I found myself with a Staff title, a product that people use, and an open source project that strangers star. It felt like a good moment to ask what I am actually doing.

Not a plan. I am suspicious of plans. More like the direction I would like to be walking.

Agents that touch the world

Most of my professional work with AI is text: systems that write, evaluate, publish. apollo is the opposite bet. It is the brain for physical devices, running on Cloudflare Workers, and it asks a question I find more interesting every month: what changes when a model’s output is not a paragraph but a motor turning?

Latency stops being a metric and becomes a safety property. A hallucination stops being embarrassing and becomes an accident. I do not know where this goes. That is why it gets my after-hours.

A product that stays honest

pilcha is the newest thing I have built and the first one that has to keep earning users. The temptation with a product is to add. More filters, more stores, more features to announce. What I want instead is for the core promise, the closest thing an Argentine store sells right now, to keep being true as the catalog grows. That is unglamorous work and it is the work.

Finishing what I started

I am still a student. Systems Engineering at FICH, alongside a full-time job, is slow and tiring and I am going to finish it. Not for the title. Because I want to learn the thing properly, and there are parts of the thing, the mathematics especially, that I copied for years and want to actually understand.

There is a piano in my apartment that I do not play enough. There is French I speak badly. There is a guitar I play a lot. None of that is a plan either. It is the shape of a life I would like to keep having room for.

The standard

If there is one thing that ties it together, it is the bar I try to hold: does this earn its place? A dependency, a feature, a model, a job, a habit. Faster than yesterday, cleaner than yesterday, more understood than yesterday. Competing against nobody but the person I was on Tuesday.

I do not know what is next. I know what it has to be better than.
